Water pipe burst from upstairs employee break room sink at Property Management building. Certified mitigation technicians arrived for inspection. Found not only 2nd floor areas affected but also 1st floor water damage from ceiling (coming from 2nd floor damage). Too much water for technicians to begin drying. Had to extract water from all carpet first. Once water extracted, installed blowers and dehumidifiers for drying process. Removed entire sink and cabinet from break room since cabinet completely damaged. Removed dry wall and dried out behind walls. Removed wet ceiling to avoid any MOLD growth. Monitored drying machines for 6 days. Cleaned and decontaminated all affected areas. Verified everything 100% dry and collected payment through Insurance (The Hanover) settlement.
