Customer called after hours requesting immediate assistance. Upstairs toilet had broken at her home causing big water flood all over home. Our emergency water damage response team arrived right away. Technicians found home completely destroyed. Water was everywhere damaging not only the home but also the customer’s personal property. Damage bigger than expected, had to call out a 2nd team of mitigation technicians to assist. Turned off water supply line and started by disposing of everything that was damaged and no longer salvageable. Had to perform demo of walls, baseboards, ceilings and floors in every affected room (which was pretty much entire house). Extracted water where necessary, decontaminated, tested for mold. No mold found anywhere; however, it took technicians a long time to extract water and complete demo. Once everything removed, installed multiple machines (dehus, air movers, spider box for extra electricity) all over property. Cleaned everything and monitored machines daily making sure everything was drying to mandatory specs. After drying for 8 days finally confirmed no further wet areas found. Everything dried 100%. This job was settled for payment directly with Western Mutual Home Insurance. All customer paid was their insurance deductible.
